James F. Garber
James F. Garber, Professor of anthropology and field school director, Texas State University, San Marcos, has been active in Maya archaeology for 30 years. His research interests include the investigation of the role of trade in sociopolitical development, reconstructing ritual, and the rise of complex society. He has conducted research at several sites in Belize since 1976 and has published 5 books and numerous journal articles and book chapters.
