Stanley Paul Guenter
Stanley Guenter was first exposed to Maya culture while living as a child in Belize in the early 1980s. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in archaeology from the University of Calgary, his master’s degree from La Trobe University in Australia, and is currently finishing his Ph.D. thesis on the Classic Maya Collapse at Southern Methodist University, in Dallas, Texas. Stanley is currently affiliated with three archaeological projects in Guatemala, working at the sites of El Mirador, El Peru and La Corona and has previously conducted excavations in southern Mexico and the Rocky Mountains of Canada.
